Time for a retreat.

So off I went vaguely packed up with even vaguer layouts to do, all in their 12x12 see-through bags, ready to plucked from the tote with the aim of making life easier. Oh if only I had more time to prep these weekends away, I may just remember everything. 
I have to say, it was probably the best one I've been to recently, very relaxed and easy-great great table company in the name of CSM Michele, Denise and Jane.
I started this one during the weekend but finished it at home as I hadn't planned to do it so didn't have any of the necessaries with me. Absolutely love it. With permission I have cased this one of Terhi's:

Just a small obsession

I think I may have a problem. I think I may be a tad obsessed. I think I may need to get back to scrapbooking.

... I decided I would need a pencil case to take all my pencils, inks, ruler and other bits and bobs. Yes, I know I have one already but not a long one. So, what is a girl to do? I made one. Yes, my toy machine, that doesn't have a zipper foot, actually took a zip and a folded over zip at that.

 All set to go now. Apart from packing that is.

Ive been got by the gremlins.

Yet another late night/early morning. Id been waiting for some magnetic snaps to arrive through the post. I got in from work last night and there they were. Making sure hubby was fast asleep I crept down to join the elves and got going with the latest tote. I mean seriously how many can you have? Its getting ridiculous. The bow is on straight by the way but, just like with my scrapbooking layouts, I can never take a decent photo.

...or should I say nights as I was up until the early hours. Once I start I can't stop. Much as I love Littl'un I'm afraid she just won't be big enough for Paris so had to have a mate:

Now if you are wondering why I made another given that Big'un looks exactly the same as Littl'un then think again:

I wanted to be able to get a 12x12 box (which is actually slightly bigger than 12x12) inside. In fact I wanted to be able to get 2 boxes in. I also wanted to put a double thickness interfaced pocket inside so I did:

Feeling very good about it as it was made with the John Lewis toy machine I bought way back when and had never even opened. Given that it says it is only suitable for lightweight material I think it did very well to take all the thickness' involved.
May well do more of these. What for I know not but does that matter?
