Son et Lumière

Whilst at Rouen this year we caught a Son et Lumière show projected onto the famous Rouen Cathedral(-when I say 'caught' I actually mean we planned to be there for it!).
We've never seen such a gorgeous display of colours depicting the Impressionist era-our favourite. There was a huge crowd of people from 23h for about an hour, children, young adults and old making a fab atmosphere. Expect to see more photos!
This particular scene is obviously one of Monet's pink lilies. As the theme over on the 123 challenge is to include flowers and pink it  seemed appropriate to enter this into the challenge.
This was the brief:

  1. Lovely! You couldn't have picked a better photo for the challenge - the flower in your photo matches the 'colour' picture perfectly! :)

  2. Great planning to see the Son et Lumiere. Must have been stunning in Rouen. I've never seen one. We're usually out of season or not organised enough. Gorgeous LO, it all goes perfect together. And I admit to being partial to the impressionists too. It's the period when art starts to become interesting. Px

  4. That must have been an amazing experience. Love the page too. Alex has just started GCSEs and is currently working on fact files for four painters including Monet :)
