Still

motivated by spending a day with my crafting buddies on Saturday I decided to enter the latest Creative Scrapbook sketch challenge with this layout. It records the hours I spend laughing with my younger son who manages to make such faces that he reminds me of Mr Bean. It's the sort of thing that we could well forget when he is older and more mature. Mind you I still pull faces but then I may be older than I once was but I'm probably no more mature!! (Hubby says I should strike the word "probably").

no wonder....

....my friend Michele said to me when I told her that I got up late. If you are going to stay up until the wee hours crafting then you are going to be up late.
I started this tag book, featured in the September issue of Craft Stamper, at our crop yesterday and, as is my wont I have to get things finished so, came home and promptly did that, adding bits of ribbon and bling. I don't have all the same stamps as Jean Hardy used so improvised a bit, but did use all CI stamps except for 1.

oooooo

Challenge number 2. Can't quite believe I'm brave enough to enter this one but obviously I'm feeling quite daring today .Crafty Individuals (luv 'em) run a monthly challenge and the theme this time is Spring so here is my interpretation. The criteria is that you have to use at least one product from them which I have done. CI-248 and CI-237. Hope this mobile is suitable.

C&S (well almost)

Time for a Valentine card to be made. This was so quick and simple that hubby didn't even realise that I had left the room. It had to be quick cos I just wasn't in the crafting mood but knew I won't have time tomorrow. Tried desperately to do C&S but just couldn't resist a bit of inking.

Challenges

One of the main reasons I first started doing a blog was so that I could take part in the various challenges that are on offer in the hope that they would help when my mojo deserts me. So, how many challenges have I participated in since starting the blog? Zilch, nada, nichts a bit resounding zero. Well until now that is because here is my first entry to a challenge which is the Creative Sketches one.
The layout is of me and my cousin on her birthday last month. All the various bits and bobs have a meaning to either me or her or both of us. Hence the little dog just standing there.Rather cute I thought and as a child she always had a dog so it seemed quite apt.
How long till the next challenge I wonder?

Finished

I have, after much ado, finally finished the second of the two secret box books for the swap over on UKS. This one is for Netty who chose 'oriental' as her theme. The boxes are filled with charms and beads and something edible. I also made a little domino book to fit in one of the drawers. Hah-moral of that story is to think first and make later. It, of course, didn't fit-far too chunky so Netty gets her secret box book and a domino book. I am glad to have finished it but shall miss having a swap to put me under pressure!!

At last....

after a long break Michele and I finally managed to fit a play day into our busy schedules. It was so nice to just sit and chat and play with no pressure. We didn't achieve a lot but here is my offering and Michele has promised that she will finish hers shortly-no pressure there missus. this is based (loosely it transpired) on one that Leandra did for the Craft Stamper ages ago. In fact, the article showed three different projects and we discovered that we did have all 3 frames so you never know what the next play day may bring.
